Still, on the 50th birthday of the prominent personality, Osikela Omo-Ikirodah, a grand celebration that has kept many engaged in discussions over the past few days, Former Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, added a touch of elegance to the festivities with his presence.

While Osikela’s birthday gathering has been the talk of the town, Ehanire couldn’t physically attend the event due to his busy schedule. This surprise birthday event, organized by Dr. Orezi Omo-Ikirodah, was so clandestine that even the celebrant himself was unaware of it. Despite these challenges, Ehanire ensured that his presence was felt through a virtual Zoom appearance.

Osagie Ehanire, a native of Edo, delivered a heartfelt speech during the celebration, expressing his gratitude and admiration for Osikela. The surprise birthday event was an occasion for Ehanire to commend Osikela for his pivotal role in securing the election victories of former President Buhari in 2015 and 2019. He also acknowledged Osikela’s unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the sacrifices he has made for the party’s growth.

“We are gathered today to acknowledge the remarkable journey of Osikela, a man who has not only excelled in the world of business but has also made a significant impact in the political arena. His role in ensuring the electoral victories of former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and 2019 is a testament to his dedication and commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ehanire went on to reflect on the enduring friendship between him and Osikela, highlighting the depth of their connection. Osikela Omo-Ikirodah, widely recognized in Edo State as a successful businessman and the owner of Haven Hotel and also for his contribution to the realization of the Benin Owena River Port Development and Authority (BORBDA), a transformative board spanning Edo, Delta, and Ondo states.

Born on November 4, 1946, in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, Osagie Ehanire is a distinguished Nigerian medical doctor and politician. He was appointed as the Minister of State for Health in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in November 2015 and later assumed the position of Minister of Health in 2019 under the same administration. His tenure is remembered for the significant health reforms he implemented in the country. Despite his absence, Ehanire’s impactful virtual presence enhanced the celebration.
