Speaking to journalists after casting his ballot at Polling Unit 4, Dukuraku Central Open Space, Okpoama, Ward 4, Brass Local Government, Sylva claimed that the competition seemed to be between the APC and the security forces, particularly the military, whom he accused of taking sides.

He stated, “I am very confident that things will go for APC, but we have some issues in units 3, 5, and 9 because the registers are not uploaded.

We have escalated it to INEC, and they accepted that it was a careless mistake on their part. I know why units in my ward were not uploaded.”

Sylva expressed concern about violence in various areas across the state, alleging that the PDP is attempting to intimidate APC voters with the help of security forces.

He specifically accused the military of favoring the PDP, citing instances of military personnel allegedly taking over areas, including the snatching of ballot boxes in Biseni community.

He concluded, “It’s unfortunate, especially the Army; it’s playing on the side of the PDP. We expect at the end of the day, people will contain them, and we will come out victorious.

For INEC, there is a lot of improvement; this is a human system. We expect there will be lapses, but I was very shocked how that register was not uploaded in my ward, but we believe there is still room for improvement.”
