These sentiments were shared during the governor’s visit to the Emir of Maru, Alhaji Abubakar Gado Mai Gari, where he offered condolences.

The governor stressed that the state government is actively working to bring an end to the activities of bandits.

In Maru town, the governor assured his commitment to reinforcing security measures in the local government area and other volatile regions of the state.

He affirmed his readiness to take any necessary steps to address insecurity, emphasizing that the current administration does not take the issue lightly.

Dauda Lawal extended sympathies to the emirate, the families affected by the recent bandit attack, and the entire population of the local government area.

He reassured the people of his dedication and highlighted ongoing efforts to ensure their safety, including the recent recruitment of Community Protection Guards (CPG).

Special prayers for peace were led by the Chief Imam of the Central Mosque, seeking the restoration of peace in Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara State, and Nigeria as a whole.

The Emir of Maru, Alhaji Abubakar Gado Maigari, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his visit to offer condolences and prayed for the swift return of peace in the state.
