Fubara made this commitment yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Port Harcourt, by members of the NDDC Governing Board, led by Chairman Mr. Chiedu Ebie.

The NDDC delegation, which included Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Executive Director of Finance and Administration Alabo Boma Iyaye, Executive Director of Projects Sir Victor Antai, Executive Director of Corporate Services Hon Ifedayo Abegunde, and other board members and directors, engaged in discussions with the governor.

Expressing his satisfaction with the courtesy visit, Governor Fubara affirmed the state’s willingness to collaborate with federal government agencies dedicated to advancing the development of the Niger Delta region.

He stated, “I am very pleased that you have taken this step by paying this courtesy visit. I assure you that we are prepared to collaborate with all federal government agencies committed to the development of the Niger Delta region.

The chairman, Mr. Ebie, has demonstrated that the NDDC has identified over 90 percent of the challenges facing the region and is poised to address them.”

Regarding concerns about project duplication raised by the NDDC chairman, Fubara advised the commission to exercise caution to avoid project redundancy, emphasizing the importance of consulting with states before initiating projects in their respective territories.
