The Governor has mandated their relocation to psychiatric hospitals for comprehensive medical care.
Fauziyya D. Sulaiman, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Vulnerable and Needy, confirmed the Governor’s decision, citing numerous complaints received regarding the public presence of these individuals, some of whom are unclothed and vulnerable to harassment, particularly females.
The Governor’s directive aims to ensure their proper medical treatment by facilitating their evacuation from the streets to psychiatric facilities.
