The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has expressed deep concern over the growing prevalence of cybercrime among Nigerian youths. The EFCC chairman voiced these concerns while hosting a delegation from Daar Communication PLC during their courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of the EFCC in Jabi, Abuja. During the meeting, Olukoyede stressed the urgent need for concerted efforts to address and curb the rising trend of cybercrimes among the youth population.

“We are looking towards Daar Communications to enlighten our youths on the evils of cyber crimes. It is worrisome that seven out of ten students today are involved in cyber crimes,” remarked Olukoyede.

He further called upon the media, including organizations like Daar Communications, to design and implement programs aimed at educating and enlightening Nigerian youth about the detrimental impact of engaging in cybercriminal activities. CONTINUE READING
