The Coalition of Arewa Forums in the South-West has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing political crisis in Kano State. The group made this appeal during a peaceful protest in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Court of Appeal recently affirmed the judgment of the Kano State Election Petition Tribunal, overturning the victory of Governor Abba Yusuf. Protesters carried placards with inscriptions like “Abbah is our choice,” “Justice for Kano,” and “Say no to injustice.” Abba Yusuf, a leader of the coalition, called on the President to intervene and address concerns about suppressing the North’s will. Another leader, Aisha Ismail, emphasized the potential impact on Arewas in the South-West if the situation deteriorates.
