Highlighting the significance of sports to the present administration, James emphasized that it is a top priority, and the government is prepared to support any initiative aimed at promoting sports development across all levels. He expressed determination to ensure the thriving of sporting activities, with a promise to give special attention to the sector during his tenure.

“As the head of this organization, we will reshape sporting activities in Zamfara State and change the narrative. I have pledged unwavering support to sports writers in Zamfara, assisting them in reaching greater heights,” he stated.

During the meeting, the Director of Sports, Nasiru Bakura, and the Director of Planning in the Directorate, Shehu Aliyu Zurmi, lauded the efforts of the State SWAN. They assured SWAN of a collaborative and productive working relationship, urging fairness in the association’s reporting.

The State SWAN chairman, Rabiu Dabbakal, and his vice, Theophilus Darofai, extended congratulations to Isiayaka James on his well-deserved appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Directorate of Sports. They appealed to the Directorate’s leadership to consistently involve SWAN in its sporting activities both within and outside the state, fostering a harmonious and mutually beneficial partnership.
