The recipient refineries are the Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Company (ERPC) in Ologbo, Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area, and the Duport Midstream Company Limited (DMCL) facility in Egbokor, Orhionmwon LGA.
Sanmi Famuyide, Chief Executive Officer of Decklar Resources, emphasized that these deliveries are in fulfillment of contractual agreements with the two refineries for the supply of crude for refining purposes. He highlighted that the Oza Oil Field has consistently supplied crude to both the ERPC and DMCL refineries in Edo State.
To date, over 75,500 barrels have been delivered, with more than 60,000 barrels going to the ERPC facility and over 15,000 barrels to the DMCL refinery.
ERPC, a 6000 barrel per day (bpd) facility, focuses on producing diesel, Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO), and naptha for both domestic use and export. The construction of this refinery was made possible through an investment guarantee provided by the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led government in Edo State. While facing initial challenges related to crude supply, the partnership with Decklar Resources and Millennium Oil and Gas Company has played a crucial role in resolving these issues.
On the other hand, DMCL, situated within the Duport Energy Park, boasts a modular refinery, a data center, a gas processing facility, and a power plant, contributing to the diversification of energy-related activities in the region.
