During this period, NiMet predicts horizontal visibility ranging from 2km to 5km, with localized visibility potentially dropping to less than or equal to 1,000 meters over the northern region. The northern, north-central, and inland cities of the south are expected to experience a moderate dust haze on Thursday, with similar horizontal visibility conditions.
The coastal areas of the country are not exempt from this weather pattern, as a hazy atmosphere is forecasted throughout the entire period. Additionally, Friday is expected to bring a continuation of the moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility of 2km to 5km over the North, the North-central region, and the inland areas of the South.
NiMet’s advisory emphasizes the importance of necessary precautions due to the presence of dust particles in the air. Individuals with asthma and other respiratory issues are particularly urged to exercise caution in light of the prevailing weather conditions.
