Garba provided details of the arrests, stating, “From the first of December till date, the command arrested a total of nine ‘one-chance’ suspects and 12 armed robbery suspects. Additionally, five stolen vehicles were recovered, along with five firearms and 12 rounds of ammunition.”

He further highlighted previous successes, saying, “On November 28, 2023, the command arrested 11 ‘one-chance’ suspects, seven suspected kidnappers and/or informants, recovering three stolen vehicles, five firearms, and 30 ammunitions. Furthermore, one kidnapper was neutralized, and a total of 43 suspects were paraded.”

Garba also recounted specific incidents, noting, “On December 25, at about 11:13 pm, a team of police operatives from Gwarimpa Division responded to a report by Abigail Christopher and two others who were robbed by hoodlums while returning home from an event. The police swiftly took action, accompanying the victims to the scene.”

He continued, “On December 25, around 2 am, five armed hoodlums entered an apartment behind a church at Lugbe extension along the airport road, where they subjected two ladies to gang rape and robbed them of their mobile phones and valuables. During the investigation, one of the stolen phones was traced to John Moses, who was promptly arrested.
