Justice Donatus Okorowo is currently presiding over the case, with the Kano State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, as well as the Accountant General of Kano State, listed as co-defendants. The plaintiffs, including the Kano State chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), sought the court’s intervention on December 27th to prevent the state government from interfering with the allocations designated for them.

The case has been adjourned to January 3rd, 2024, when both parties are required to appear before the court for further proceedings.
