Adeleke affirmed his commitment to enhancing Osun State’s reputation, emphasizing his ceaseless efforts to position the state as a prominent entity. Regarding his future political aspirations beyond his current gubernatorial role, Adeleke asserted, “I’m qualified to be the president of Nigeria, so why not? If God says that it’s time for me to become president, I will grab it and take care of my people. I’m not going to say no, anything can happen.”

Addressing the palliative measures implemented in the state, the governor highlighted the formation of multiple committees to address various issues. He underscored his continuous dedication to the prosperity of Osun, working around the clock to ensure its greatness.

In response to inquiries about the state’s debt profile, Adeleke acknowledged inheriting a substantial debt and outlined his strategy for gradual repayment. He disclosed, “I started paying them half salary slowly, little by little,” and emphasized efforts to provide palliatives, including free medical care and support for pensioners.

Adeleke also discussed improvements in the state’s healthcare sector, personally visiting primary healthcare facilities and implementing measures to enhance healthcare services for the elderly. He emphasized the extension of medical coverage beyond state borders, allowing residents to seek treatment in other states with expenses covered by Osun State.

The governor reported ongoing initiatives for road maintenance and repair in both state and federal domains within Osun. Adeleke asserted his commitment to completing projects, including those initially undertaken on federal roads, and revealed engagements with the federal government to seek reimbursement for funds expended on road projects.

Highlighting his broader agenda encompassing tourism, culture, and entertainment, Adeleke underscored the untapped potential of Osun State’s resources, including gold and bitumen. He asserted that with focused governance, Osun is not economically disadvantaged but rather rich in resources.

In a notable disclosure, Adeleke affirmed a positive relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing support and prayers for the president’s success in addressing the economic challenges faced by the people. He emphasized the need for collective efforts in promoting national growth and welfare.
