The Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Ministry Development, Engr Abubakar Momoh FNSE, joined the Auchi Sacred Kingdom’s 27th annual Auchi Day celebration hosted by His Royal Highness Alhaji Aliyu H. Momoh, the Ikelebe 111 and Otaru of Auchi Kingdom. The ceremony revolved around the theme of Tahara (Cleanliness): A Path to Spiritual Piety, as well as the commissioning of 200 million sanitation equipment.

Auchi Day is a lively celebration that brings together Auchi’s citizens, neighbours, friends, and well-wishers to honour the Sacred Kingdom’s rich cultural legacy. Traditional dances, musical acts, mouthwatering regional food, athletic contests, and hunting competitions are all part of the festivities.

Engaging with reporters during the celebration, Engr. Abubakar Momoh emphasized the profound significance of Auchi Day in preserving the community’s customs and fostering unity among its people. He highlighted the event’s role in nurturing a shared identity and strengthening bonds among Auchi residents.

Furthermore, Momoh reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to rejuvenating the Niger Delta region, aligning his ideas with President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda. He outlined his comprehensive vision for the area, focusing on infrastructure improvement, socio-economic empowerment, and sustainable growth initiatives.

Momoh pledged to employ collaborative approaches and innovative solutions to drive tangible progress and prosperity in the Niger Delta, echoing President Tinubu’s vision for a transformed and thriving region.
