During the 27th edition of the Auchi Day celebration in Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki appealed to the Otaru of Auchi, Aliru Momoh, for support in his endeavor to identify a worthy successor. Addressing the gathering, Obaseki stated, “I implore you to support us in the quest to produce a successor who will contribute to making Edo the foremost state in the country.” He went on to highlight the achievements of his administration in Auchi, emphasizing the conversion of Auchi Central Hospital into a specialist facility, successful erosion control and rehabilitation of Igbe Road, and the transformation of Ikelebe Sports Arena into a mini-stadium.

Governor Obaseki further mentioned key infrastructure projects such as the construction of Bishop Court Road in GRA, the establishment of a Lassa fever isolation treatment center, and the implementation of the Auchi water facility reticulation water supply scheme. Expressing gratitude, he commended the Otaru for his peaceful and inclusive leadership in managing the affairs of the kingdom.

In essence, the governor sought the cooperation of the Otaru and the community to ensure a smooth transition and continued development, promising to further enhance the well-being of the people in the remaining days of his administration.
