He argued that for effective rebranding of Nigeria, it is crucial to promote positive developments actively. Omokri stressed the importance of self-promotion, asserting that failing to trumpet achievements might leave room for detractors to highlight shortcomings.
Omokri, who served as an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, detailed President Tinubu’s noteworthy achievements within a week, which include:
- Suspension of a non-compliant minister.
- Summoning another minister regarding a controversial contract.
- Reduction of travel entourage and substantial cost-cutting measures.
- Dismissal of two CEOs of federal parastatals due to gross negligence.
- Implementation of the six-week degree for cash program by blocklisting certain nations, including Benin.
- Announcement of plans to construct a new Chinese-built steel plant in Nigeria.
- Launching the automated passport portal.
- Clearance of the ₦12 billion outstanding payment for the Super Eagles and other national teams.
- Commencement of wage support benefits for civil servants.
- Disbursement of ₦105.5 billion for 266 road repairs.
- Intervention to bring peace to Sierra Leone following a foiled coup attempt.
