In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker expressed dismay at the continuous attacks on communities in Mangu Local Council. He unequivocally declared, “Enough is Enough of the Plateau killings,” highlighting the intolerable nature of the situation.

Confirming his intention to engage with President Tinubu on this matter, Abbas outlined the House of Representatives’ commitment to taking a firm stance when it reconvenes after the Christmas and New Year breaks next Tuesday. Additionally, Abbas disclosed plans for the lower legislative chamber to organize a security summit aimed at devising lasting solutions to the security challenges not only in the North but also in other regions of the country.

The Speaker condemned the Plateau killings and underscored the significance of fostering peace on both sides. He emphasized the necessity for communities to coexist harmoniously, asserting that meaningful progress hinges on peaceful cohabitation.
