The intelligence also linked the syndicate to the ambush on troops at Kwanan Mutuwa on January 27, 2024, as well as various attacks and abductions of civilians in Birnin Gwari. The terrorists were tracked to a specific location where they congregated, and a targeted airstrike was executed to neutralize the threat.

Gabkwet explained that upon reaching the suspected location, a thorough scan uncovered a procession of terrorists on 15 motorcycles, each carrying at least two armed individuals. The precision airstrike resulted in the elimination of numerous terrorists, as confirmed in the aftermath assessment.

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of the Air Staff, praised the Component Commander for the successful operation and urged the continuation of such proactive measures. He emphasized the importance of sustained efforts to counter criminal activities, acknowledging the professionalism of the crew in patiently tracking the criminals until the opportune moment for the strike.
