The Director General of the Voice of Nigeria, Alhaji Jibrin Ndace, has announced that the National Values Charter will soon be revealed by the Federal Government. Ndace shared that the National Values Charter will outline “seven core promises” the Nigerian state commits to its citizens and an additional “seven commitments” expected from the citizens towards their country. This announcement comes amidst discussions surrounding the relocation of some units of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) from Abuja to Lagos State.

Addressing the controversy, Ndace clarified that the Federal Government’s decision is not politically motivated. Instead, it forms part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and ensuring a responsive financial system. Moreover, the move is anticipated to contribute to a reduction in operational costs for the benefit of the nation.
