Alhaji Sulaimon faces charges of deliberately causing damage to properties estimated at N15,000,000.00 (fifteen million naira), purportedly designated for an orphanage home and facilities for disabled children, owned by Mrs. Faith Ojo, a Nigerian businesswoman based in America.
Despite the efforts of Zone 2 Police to address the alleged criminal activities, the accused and his collaborators reportedly evaded apprehension, while ongoing police investigations persist.
One of the purported accomplices, Lateef Lawal, the husband of actress Lizzy Anjorin, allegedly eluded arrest in Ikoyi, Lagos State, on February 5, 2024, while his associate was detained and remanded in prison.
Reports indicate that the case has advanced to the Lagos High Court for civil resolution through two distinct suits identified as SUIT NO: LD/14340LMW/2023 BETWEEN ALHAJI BOLAJI SULAIMON & 3 ORS VS MRS. FAITH OJO and SUIT NO: LD/14515LMW/2023 BETWEEN MRS. FAITH OJO VS CHIEF RASHEED OLUKOSI & 7 ORS.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, the defendants in the Magistrate Court, along with other individuals allegedly linked to Lizzy Anjorin’s husband, purportedly persist in engaging in land-grabbing activities across Lagos State.
While the bail terms for the accused facing charges of malicious damage are yet to be satisfied, his associate remains detained at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre.
There are additional claims suggesting that actress Liz Anjorin has discreetly utilized her celebrity status to facilitate the release of the detained suspect from prison.
