In a recent podcast interview, Abdulkareem asserted that he and Eddy Remedy were the original members of The Remedies and only extended an invitation to Tony Tetuila later on.
However, Eddy Remedy has refuted these claims, asserting that he was the sole founder of The Remedies. In an exclusive interview, Remedy clarified that he formed the group and invited Abdulkareem to join. He mentioned that Abdulkareem brought Tetuila to his apartment in Lagos, where Remedy was based, to introduce him to the group.
Remedy further revealed that Abdulkareem failed to disclose that Tetuila’s parents had provided him with money with the expectation of furthering his music career. This lack of transparency led to rumors circulating that Tetuila’s parents were sponsoring the group, which Remedy vehemently denied.
He clarified that he had received $5,000 from his parents in 1997, which he used to sponsor the group’s activities during that period.
By refuting Abdulkareem’s claims, Eddy Remedy aims to set the record straight regarding the formation and ownership of The Remedies, highlighting his pivotal role in establishing the group.
