Engr Moses Omo-Ikirodah, the PDP candidate for the house of representatives in Etsako Federal constiteuncy has expressed his congratulations to the Christian faithful on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
This was contained in a goodwill message issued to the press, with the house of representatives hopeful stating that it is another opportunity to thank God for the outgoing year and pray for a more prosperous new year, especially as the country prepares for the 2023 general elections.
He urged the Christian community and the rest of the world to embrace the season’s significance and make it a duty to spread love, while also urging them to celebrate in moderation and reach out to the less fortunate; the spirit of Christmas, he said, is one of giving and sharing.
He made the point that, while the country has seen its fair share of unrest, anxiety, and other social turbulence recently, as we are constantly reminded, our history of resiliency, as well as our traditions of religious faith and personal bravery, continue to inspire us and give us hope for a better future.
He said. “As we celebrate Christmas, I would like to extend my best wishes to the good people of Etsako Federal Constituency and every Nigerian, particularly Christians throughout the country and around the world.
Indeed, Christmas gives us a chance to think carefully on Jesus’ life in order to learn from his virtues, which include humility, complete obedience to God’s will, courage, and uncommon acts of sacrificial service to humanity.
Beyond the festive season, we must uphold Jesus Christ’s principles of peace, love, harmony, and tolerance.”
He went on to encourage the populace that help is on the way., “Our people should not despair but live in the great hope that the coming 2023, the election year, we’ll have the opportunity to elect competent, credible, and God-fearing leaders to pilot the affairs of government that will change the narrative of negativities of our lives for the better.”
