Senator Dino Melaye responded following the collapse of a classroom that trapped children in northern Nigeria.
Footage circulated online depicts rescuers attempting to remove the debris of the collapsed structure to free the trapped children.
In one poignant scene from the video, a rescued child, covered in dust, is seen crying for their classmates.
Expressing his dismay, politician Dino Melaye penned: “May God forgive us leaders and elite. This is unimaginable, unacceptable, and unpardonable.
