Woman Fake Abduction Extorts N2m Ransom From Husband....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has apprehended a pregnant woman, identified as Mrs. Rosemary Ubah, on allegations of colluding with an individual named Walter Ezeala to orchestrate her own abduction.

This revelation was made by the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, during a press briefing held at the Command’s headquarters on Wednesday, where the suspects were paraded.

According to Igweh, the arrest transpired on March 11 following a report lodged by Rosemary’s husband, Chiedozie Ubah, at the Gwagwa Police Division. Chiedozie reported that his pregnant wife had gone out for a medical scan but failed to return home.

Subsequently, Chiedozie received a distressing call from his wife’s purported kidnapper, who demanded a ransom of N2 million for her safe release. Compliance with the demand led Chiedozie to transfer the specified amount into his wife’s bank account as instructed.

Upon her release and subsequent presentation at the police station, Rosemary admitted to colluding with Walter Ezeala, a neighbor residing in the same Saburi street as the Ubahs, to extort money from her husband.

Walter, upon interrogation, confessed to his involvement, revealing that he received N800,000 from the scheme while Rosemary pocketed N1.2 million. The authorities recovered N793,500 in cash, two FCMB ATM cards, and two android phones from the suspects.
