Kaduna Welcomes New Leadership As CAN Announces Change In Administration

Kaduna’s Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) welcomed its new leadership on Friday, marking a pivotal moment for the organization in the state. Rev. Ma’aji Caleb, the newly elected chairman, outlined a vision emphasizing trust, respect, and genuine love among believers and those of other faiths. His focus is clear: fostering peace, unity, and development within Kaduna.

Rev. Caleb emphasized the importance of seeking guidance from past leaders, acknowledging their invaluable mentorship and leadership. He sees their counsel as integral to the success of the new administration.

The timing of this transition is significant, occurring amidst the pressing need for a fresh approach to unite and develop the Christian community, contributing positively to Kaduna’s overall harmony and progress.

Prior to the handover, outgoing chairman Rev. John Joseph Hayab expressed gratitude to the church for its support during his tenure. He called for continued unity and purposeful leadership, recognizing the challenges faced, including the recent kidnapping of approximately 400 individuals by bandits. Despite these challenges, Rev. Hayab commended Governor Uba Sani for his support and presence during these difficult times.
