The Defence Headquarters has announced the declaration of 97 individuals as wanted for involvement in terrorism, violent extremism, and secessionist activities against the state.

Major Gen Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, affirmed the release of names and photographs of the wanted individuals in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, March 22.

These wanted persons, identified as terrorist leaders, bandits, and insurgents, hail from regions including the North East, North West, North Central, and South-East zones. Notably, the military did not offer any bounty for their capture.

Breaking down the figures, 43 individuals were designated wanted in the North West Zone, which has been grappling with issues like banditry and kidnapping.

Among the notable figures in this list are Alhaji Shingi, Malindi Yakubu, Boka, Dogo Gide, Halilu Sububu, Ado Aliero, Bello Turji, Dan Bokkolo, Labi Yadi, Nagala, Saidu Idris, Kachalla Rugga, and Sani Gurgu.
