At the age of 61, Amaechi Muonagor has passed away. The veteran Nollywood actor reportedly succumbed to complications arising from kidney-related ailments, diabetes, and a previous stroke on March 24.
In 2023, Muonagor suffered a stroke, resulting in partial paralysis of his left leg. He had been undergoing weekly dialysis and physiotherapy to address the effects of the stroke.
Tragically, his demise follows shortly after he made a public plea for financial support via social media to facilitate a kidney transplant. Muonagor’s contributions to Nigerian cinema were significant, having appeared in numerous films. Notably, he garnered acclaim for his portrayal of a father figure in the popular movie “Aki and Paw Paw,” depicting the guardian of two mischievous young boys.
