APC Warns Secondus, Sekibo, And Others: No Backdoor Entry Allowed....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Tony Okocha, the Rivers state caretaker committee chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has firmly stated that former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, former minister of transportation Abiye Sekibo, and other PDP leaders in the state cannot join the APC through clandestine means.

In response to a recent media briefing by some PDP chieftains expressing support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sim Fubara, Okocha issued the warning in Abuja on Friday. He characterized the Sekibo-led PDP faction as instigators of discord, suggesting that instead of exacerbating issues, they should have sought constructive solutions to the state’s challenges.

Asserting the openness of the APC to welcome members from other parties, Okocha emphasized that any such transition must adhere to legal protocols, as mandated by the APC National Working Committee (NWC).

Regarding the expression of support for the President during the Press Conference in Port Harcourt, Okocha criticized the approach taken by the group, stating, “If the overnight supporters of Mr. President, as indicated in their statement, now believe in his leadership and the progress made during his tenure, they should follow the appropriate procedures for joining a new party rather than resorting to coercion and blackmail.”

The APC’s stance underscores its commitment to transparent and lawful processes for party membership, while rejecting any attempts at covert entry by individuals from other political affiliations.
