Passengers Escape Death As Truck Falls On Commercial Bus In Lagos....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Witnessing a perilous incident, numerous passengers aboard a Toyota Hi-Ace bus narrowly escaped a fatal catastrophe on Saturday evening in Lagos State. An Iveco truck, heavily loaded with bags of cattle horns, overturned and crashed onto their vehicle at the Iyana-Ipaja area, around 6:30 pm. The cause of this mishap was attributed to the truck driver’s reckless driving and excessive speed.

In the aftermath of the event, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), confirmed the incident. LASEMA’s response team promptly sprang into action, dispatched from the Igando Base, and arrived at the scene by 0603 hrs. Their immediate objective was to facilitate road recovery operations and restore the smooth flow of traffic.

Further investigation revealed that the accident resulted from the truck driver’s reckless maneuver, causing the vehicle to topple sideways and collide with the Toyota Hi-Ace bus. Fortunately, despite the severity of the collision, there were no reported fatalities as the truck driver and his assistant fled the scene.

Although some passengers sustained minor injuries, they were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for necessary medical attention. Additionally, emergency response teams efficiently transloaded the cargo of cattle horns into another truck to clear the roadway obstruction, allowing traffic to resume its normal course.
