President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, for Dakar, Senegal, where he will attend the inauguration ceremony of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
This journey comes at the behest of the Republic of Senegal, as stated by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
In his capacity as the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will join other regional leaders at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre to witness the inauguration on Tuesday.
Accompanying the President on this trip will be Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, alongside other senior government officials.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria following the conclusion of the inauguration ceremony.
