Port Harcourt Pastor Joins Criticism Against Adeboye’s Tea With God Assertion

A cleric based in Port Harcourt, known as Prophet Miracle, has voiced his disapproval weeks after another local pastor, Pastor Abel Damina, dismissed the claim made by the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, regarding having tea with God.

Adeboye had shared during a sermon that he and his wife were having breakfast in Ilorin, Kwara state, and God joined them for tea. Recounting the incident, he mentioned taking one cup of tea, his wife taking another, and when he went for the third, the pot was empty. According to him, he heard the voice of the Lord explaining that when he prayed, he invited God to join them.

Damina, the Senior Pastor of Power City International based in Uyo, expressed skepticism towards Adeboye’s narrative during his own sermon. He referenced biblical passages suggesting that God doesn’t partake in human food, emphasizing the importance of giving one’s heart to God rather than material offerings.

In response to Damina’s remarks, Prophet Miracle cautioned against speaking against Pastor Adeboye, suggesting that Adeboye’s claim might hold significance beyond literal interpretation. He urged respect for spiritual leaders and cautioned against dismissing their experiences outright.

Prophet Miracle emphasized the need to refrain from disrespecting spiritual elders and to approach their experiences with reverence and humility.
