Air Peace, a Nigerian airline, has announced an expansion of its capacity for the Lagos-London route in response to a significant increase in demand. This development was shared through the airline’s official Facebook account on Wednesday, signaling an enhanced travel experience for individuals planning to journey to London with Air Peace.

The statement released by the airline expressed gratitude towards both the Nigerian and UK populations for their unwavering support. It stated, “Due to overwhelming demand and interest in our London route, we have decided to increase the capacity on the route. This means that more seats are now available.”

Recently, Air Peace conducted its inaugural flight to London with 260 passengers aboard a Boeing 777, which boasts a capacity of 274 seats. This route, originating from Lagos, is scheduled to operate daily.

The decision to augment capacity has disrupted prevailing market dynamics, compelling other airlines that previously monopolized the route to reassess their pricing strategies.

Allen Onyema, the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, disclosed that tickets for Lagos-London flights with the company are already sold out until September. In an interview with Arise TV, Onyema highlighted the airline’s robust growth plans, revealing that Air Peace currently operates with over 30 aircraft and has orders in place for an additional 33, with ambitions to expand its fleet to over 60 aircraft.

This strategic move by Air Peace reflects its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of travelers while contributing to the broader advancement of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
