The Rivers State Police Command has issued a stern warning, declaring its zero tolerance for any political unrest within the state. In a statement delivered by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Grace Iringe-Koko, the Command emphasized its awareness of the ongoing political tensions and urged all parties involved to cease hostilities.
Asserting its role as the guardian of law and order, the Command vowed to take decisive measures against any individual or group found violating state laws. The statement reiterated the Nigeria Police Force’s mandate to uphold peace, protect lives, and maintain order.
“The Rivers State Police Command stands firm in its commitment to uphold the rule of law and preserve peace within the state,” the statement emphasized. “We will not permit any disruption to the prevailing peace, and we are prepared to take swift action against any transgressors.”
Additionally, the Command called upon the public to prioritize peace and comply with legal obligations. It encouraged those embroiled in political disputes to seek resolution through peaceful and lawful channels.
