Kano State Demands EFCC To Publish Ganduje Dollar Bribery Video Probe....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has called upon the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to make public the findings of its investigation into the alleged dollar bribery video involving the former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

In a statement released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, Yusuf emphasized that Ganduje should focus on preparing for his trial instead of making baseless accusations against the current administration.

“The Kano State Government advises the acting National Chairman of the APC to justify why his name, along with his family’s and the people of Kano, should not be permanently tarnished by the global embarrassment caused by the dollar video,” the statement asserted.

Yusuf’s administration has initiated two panels to probe Ganduje’s eight-year tenure, alongside filing criminal charges against Ganduje, his wife, son, and five others. In response, Ganduje dismissed the allegations as a diversionary tactic.

However, Yusuf maintained that Ganduje’s leadership was marked by corruption, nepotism, and neglect of Kano’s populace. He asserted that his administration, in just eight months, has exceeded Ganduje’s tenure in terms of productivity and accountability.

Yusuf advised Ganduje to focus on defending himself in court rather than resorting to media campaigns. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to holding Ganduje accountable for his alleged wrongdoings.

The statement also addressed Ganduje’s claims regarding the Kano Anti-corruption Agency’s authority to investigate him, dismissing them as unfounded. Additionally, Yusuf warned Ganduje against dragging the name of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into his corruption allegations.

Governor Yusuf highlighted the financial challenges inherited from Ganduje’s administration, emphasizing the need for prudent management to recover from the alleged state of bankruptcy.
