Today, Justice Binta Nyako postponed the proceedings to May 20 after considering the arguments presented in the application. During the hearing, Ejimakor emphasized the necessity of Kanu’s transfer to ensure his preparedness for trial and to expedite the court proceedings. He cited precedents such as the house arrest of Sambo Dasuki and El-Zazaky in the past.

On the other hand, the prosecution, represented by Adegboyega Awolomo (SAN), urged the court to reject the application. The court will reconvene to address this matter further.
