The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, has highlighted the distinctions between the current situation facing Abdullahi Ganduje and the past removal of Adams Oshiomhole from the party leadership. Morka emphasized these differences during an interview on Arise TV, addressing concerns over Ganduje’s suspension.
Oshiomhole and the members of the National Working Committee (NWC) were elected for a four-year term in 2018 but faced dissolution halfway through their tenure, with allegations suggesting it aimed to thwart Bola Tinubu’s presidential aspirations.In March 2020, a Federal High Court ordered Oshiomhole’s suspension pending the outcome of a suit, citing his state chapter’s prior suspension of him.Morka stressed that the situations are incomparable, as those seeking Ganduje’s suspension are not recognized party members.
He pointed out that the individual who announced Ganduje’s suspension later disavowed any involvement, raising questions about the legitimacy of the action and those behind it.
