His whereabouts had remained unknown since his deposition by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Thursday. According to reports from Daily Trust, the aircraft carrying the former monarch landed at Aminu Kano International Airport at 4:30 am.
Upon his arrival, he was surrounded by enthusiastic supporters chanting verses from Surah Al-Fatihah in the Holy Quran. Some voices in the crowd expressed prayers for his well-being and victory over his adversaries.
Dressed in royal regalia, the former Emir proceeded through the crowd without engaging, maintaining a composed demeanor. Subsequently, he observed the dawn prayer at the airport.
