Signed by Ward Chairman Thompson Ehiguese and Ward Secretary Stanley Usiomoh, the suspension letter, dated May 14, 2024, took immediate effect, advising Abure to cease portraying himself as a party member.

This action, along with a ratification letter dated May 15, 2024, was endorsed during a meeting of the state executive committee in Benin City, Edo State. The ratification, forwarded to the State Executive Committee, confirmed Abure’s suspension from Ward 3, Arue-Uromi, Esan North East LGA.

The ratification letter stated, “The LGA Executive met on 15th of May, 2024, about noon, to consider the matters presented on the suspension and accordingly found them weighty and the suspension ratified and upheld.”

During a meeting chaired by Kelly Ogbaloi, the State Executive Committee endorsed the decisions made by the ward and local government committee, further affirming Abure’s suspension
