Naija News understands that his arrival is in anticipation of President Bola Tinubu addressing a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives.

However, there has been conflicting information from the presidency regarding Tinubu’s expected address at the joint session of the National Assembly.

The National Assembly announced on Monday that it would hold a special joint session on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of continuous democracy in Nigeria. President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend, along with state governors, former national leaders, and members of the National Assembly, according to a statement issued by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Magaji Tambawal.

This was further confirmed on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who stated that President Tinubu’s speech would highlight the achievements of his administration and reflect on Nigeria’s democracy since the military handed over power in 1999.

Contradicting this, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, released a statement on Tuesday denying reports that President Bola Tinubu would address a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday
