Abubakar, speaking in an interview with Sunday Sun, acknowledged the challenging circumstances inherited by President Tinubu.

He highlighted the nation’s struggle with insecurity, economic downturn, and challenges facing the main foreign exchange earner, crude oil.

Reflecting on the level of hardship in the country, Abubakar remarked, “President Tinubu has undoubtedly inherited a very challenging situation. I can draw parallels to the time I assumed leadership in Nigeria. We faced severe political turmoil. Presently, President Tinubu is confronted with a nation grappling with insecurity, a declining economy, and significant issues surrounding our primary foreign revenue source, crude oil. The unrest among insurgents in oil-producing regions, disrupting NNPC operations, and the presence of illegal refineries are evident.”

Acknowledging the tough decisions taken by President Tinubu, Abubakar stressed their necessity for a leader dedicated to national improvement. He emphasized the inherent difficulty in leadership and the imperative to make decisive choices for the betterment of the country.

Drawing from the wisdom of a book he referenced, Abubakar noted the balance required in leadership, cautioning against excessive leniency or severity.

In conclusion, Abubakar expressed his hope for President Tinubu’s continued good health and wisdom in navigating the challenges of governance.
