Chairman of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, Mr. Victor Metu, confirmed that all trapped individuals were rescued before midnight. An immediate investigation into the collapse has commenced, attributing the incident to suspected faults in the foundation and the use of substandard materials.
