UBTH Cmd Lauds Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Healthcare Initiatives As FG Delivers State Of The Art Equipment To UBTH

The commendation follows the supply of healthcare equipment to UBTH, facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Health(FMoH) through the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency. This is the first time UBTH is receiving such in its 53-year history.
Prof. Ize-Iyamu emphasized the significance of Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and its positive impact on healthcare delivery.
She expressed UBTH’s gratitude for the intervention, highlighting that the equipment will greatly enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide quality maternal and neonatal services.
“We want to say we are grateful. The whole world is going to hear about this intervention. We are going to shout it out because when we say thank you, we expect to get more. It is the first time we have had this at UBTH,” she stated.
The CMD assured that the newly delivered equipment would be effectively utilized to take care of maternal and neonatal health care.
Some of the equipment received from the federal government include, Delivery beds, anaesthetic machines, baby cots, fetal monitors/CTG Machine, fetal taco-cardiograph, theatre equipment, labor ward equipment, diathermy machines, neonatal ventilators, Humidity gauge, Autoclaves, Centrifuge (16 and 24 buckets),blood bank, blood refrigerator, blood freezer, among others.
Present at the handing-over of the equipment were Mr.Ighodaro Lawani-Osawe, State Director National Primary Health Care Development Agency(NPHCDA), representative of the contractor, Mr. Safianu Mohammed, CMAC, Dr. Emmanuel Osaigbovo, DCMAC, Prof. Anthony Atimati, Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology UBTH, Prof. Ehigha Enabudoso.
This commitment underscores UBTH’s dedication to maximizing the benefits of the government’s investment and ensuring that women and children receive the best possible care.
