In the North Central region, NiMet forecasts sunny weather with occasional cloudiness, and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in the Federal Capital Territory, Benue, Nasarawa, and Kogi States during the morning. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected in the Federal Capital Territory, Benue, Niger, Plateau, and Kwara States.
In the southern regions, morning thunderstorms may affect Cross River and Akwa Ibom States. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected in Imo, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Abia, Anambra, Delta, Lagos, Rivers, Cross River, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom States.
On Wednesday, NiMet anticipates sunny weather with some cloud cover in the northern region, with isolated thunderstorms expected in Kebbi, Zamfara, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Kaduna States later in the day. The North Central region will experience sunny skies with cloud patches during the morning, followed by isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening across the Federal Capital Territory, Benue, Kwara, Niger, Kogi, Nasarawa, and Plateau States.
In the South, cloudy skies with periods of sunshine are expected, with morning thunderstorms likely over parts of Ogun, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers, and Bayelsa states. Isolated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon/evening in Ekiti, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Anambra, Enugu, Lagos, Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Delta States.
On Thursday, NiMet predicts sunny weather with a few clouds in the northern region during the morning, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms over Taraba in the afternoon and evening. The North Central region will see sunny skies with cloud patches in the morning, followed by isolated thunderstorms in Benue, Kwara, and Kogi States later in the day.
In the South, cloudy skies with sunshine spells are expected, with chances of isolated thunderstorms in Cross River, Rivers, Lagos, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom States in the morning. In the afternoon/evening, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Ebonyi, Imo, Abia, Edo, Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Rivers States.
NiMet advises the public to stay hydrated, seek cool, well-ventilated areas to avoid heat stress, and adhere to safety measures against infections, including receiving meningitis vaccinations, practicing good hygiene, wearing face masks, and avoiding crowded places.
