The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said he actively follows media reports and personally keeps track of what his critics, whom he referred to as “enemies,” are saying about him.
Wike explained that he regularly watches major Nigerian television stations such as Africa Independent Television, TVC News, and Channels Television to stay informed.
He made this known while speaking with journalists in Abuja, adding that he prefers to get information directly rather than rely on aides or intermediaries.
According to him, monitoring the news himself allows him to stay fully aware of public opinions and discussions about him.
Wike noted that this habit helps him remain up to date with developments and commentary circulating in the media.
He further revealed that his routine often extends late into the night, as he sometimes revisits news broadcasts around midnight before going to sleep.
Wike said this consistent media monitoring ensures he is always informed about events and conversations concerning his person.
