Former House of Representatives member, Samaila Abdu Suleiman, has resigned from his role as Counsellor on Infrastructure in Kaduna State as he prepares to contest in the upcoming elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Suleiman, who previously represented Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, joined Governor Uba Sani’s administration following the 2023 elections.

His resignation was officially communicated to the state government in a letter dated March 2, 2026, addressed to the Secretary to the State Government. In the letter, Suleiman stated that he was stepping down with immediate effect and assured that all government property in his custody would be returned in accordance with public service regulations.

Confirming the resignation, Suleiman explained that the decision was taken to enable him to participate in the forthcoming elections without violating the provisions of the Electoral Act.

Prior to his appointment in the Kaduna State Government, Suleiman spent several years in the House of Representatives representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency.
