According to a statement from JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the results of candidates who sat for the examination on Thursday, April 16, 2026, are expected to be made available before midnight on Friday.

He added that an official public notice will be issued once the results have been fully uploaded and made accessible to candidates.

“The results of candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, 16th April 2026, will be released today before midnight,” the statement read. “An official announcement will be made to the public and posted as soon as the results are available.”

Benjamin thanked candidates for their patience and cooperation.

In related developments, the Nigeria Police Force had earlier confirmed heightened security arrangements nationwide ahead of the examination, following unverified online reports suggesting possible threats at some centres, particularly in parts of the North Central region.

The police dismissed the rumours as false and assured the public that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure a safe examination environment.

Police spokesperson, Anthony Placid, stated that officers have been deployed visibly and discreetly across examination centres to maintain order and protect candidates throughout the exercise.
