The news was confirmed by Akin Alabi, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Works, in a tribute shared on his official handle on Thursday.
He wrote, “Good night my dear friend. Rest in Peace, Senator Mpigi Barinada. Sen Mpigi represented Rivers South East in the Senate.”
Senator Barinada also served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works.
As of now, details surrounding the circumstances of his death have not been disclosed.
