BREAKING: Nottingham Forest Seal Agreement With Chelsea for Liam Delap

Nottingham Forest have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Chelsea for the transfer of striker Liam Delap in a deal believed to be worth around €50 million.

According to Bush Radio Academy, transfer expert Nico Schira reports that the 23-year-old England Under-21 international has also agreed personal terms with Forest on a contract that would run until 2031.

Delap moved to Chelsea from Ipswich Town in June 2025 after making a strong impression during his Premier League campaign with the Tractor Boys. However, the striker struggled to maintain a consistent scoring record during his first season at Stamford Bridge.

His situation at Chelsea has reportedly changed significantly, with the forward falling out of favour under manager Xabi Alonso. Delap has been training away from the first-team group and was not included in Chelsea’s squad for their recent Premier League encounter against Fulham.

Nottingham Forest have now emerged as his likely destination, with the club understood to be working towards completing the remaining formalities before the transfer can be officially confirmed.

The potential move would see Delap begin a new chapter in his career as Forest seek to strengthen their attacking options. His arrival is expected to provide additional firepower for Oliver Glasner’s squad ahead of the new campaign.

If completed, the transfer would represent a significant investment by Nottingham Forest in a young striker who has already demonstrated his potential in the Premier League.
