Their emergence followed the party’s elective National Convention held on Sunday at the velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, where they and other officials were chosen by consensus.
Among those confirmed into the National Working Committee (NWC) are Aaron Chukwuemeka (Deputy National Chairman, South), Yusufu Nya Akirikwen (Deputy National Chairman, North), Kolawale Olabisi (Deputy National Secretary), Odeyemei Mackson Oladiran (National Treasurer), and Lado Dan Marke (Deputy National Treasurer), alongside several other members.
Additional officials include Eyim Donatus Henry, Grema Kyari, Umar Mohammed Bature, Efere Augustine, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, Egwu Goodluck Chidiebere, Kamaldeen Ajibade, Aloysius Chinemelu U. Uba, Osuoha Okechukwu Donatus, Adaba Yatu, Ibrahim Bala Aboki, and Momoh Dejih Eugene Bashir. Ogunshe Adedayo and Hauwa Ahmed Shinge were named National Women Leader and Deputy National Women Leader, respectively.
The newly constituted NWC, led by Mohammed, has since been sworn into office.
Speaking at the convention, Nyesom Wike assured members that the PDP would participate in the 2027 general elections. He urged unity and inclusiveness within the party, emphasizing equal opportunities for all members.
Wike also commended delegates for their conduct and maintained that the convention held in Abuja was the legitimate one recognized by the electoral authorities, expressing confidence that the party would be on the ballot in 2027.
