Two lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly have stepped back from the ongoing impeachment proceedings targeting Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu.

The legislators are Minority Leader Sylvanus Nwankwo, representing Omuma State Constituency, and Peter Abbey of Degema State Constituency.

Both members called on their colleagues to seek a peaceful resolution to the impeachment process, emphasizing dialogue and stability over political conflict.
